WorldSkills and the HP Foundation launched the first BeChangeMaker in 2017 as a virtual training programme for youth around the world to explore their career potential as social entrepreneurs and design solutions to solve social issues based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Live Pitch Finale in Amsterdam
After a three month intensive training, mentoring, and online pitch competitions, we have our top five teams of BeChangeMaker who are going to pitch live in Amsterdam at WorldSkills General Assembly!
Check out who these awesome young entrepreneurs are! The top three teams selected at the live pitch competition will be awarded with EUR 1,000 each and more dedicated support to get their ideas off ground.
from Syria who are creating an innovative glove to translates sign language into written and spoken Arabic.
from Denmark who are educating young girls in Africa about sex and reproduction as well as other taboo topics through gaming.
from India who are transforming the way people use and save water in their community.
from Guatemala who are connecting businesses with farmers for more sustainable production of rice and fostering circular economy.
from Lebanon who are designing a high-quality and easily accessible learning platform with Arabic content, especially for the disadvantaged communities like the refugees.
Out of applications from 166 teams that represent 31 countries, here are the final selected teams for BeChangeMaker 2018 - let the programme starts!

MEET THE MENTORS
Loren has a background in development studies, an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and works for HP in Current Business Management on Marketing and Finance. Loren is based in Portland, OR area.
Yves is the VP – Global head of HP Inc. Quota and Sales Compensation Enablement. Executive with 20+ years of diverse experiences ranging from Finance, Process and Systems to Sales enablement and Sales Compensation. Strong customer focus, strategic agility, people management skills and drive for results. Yves is based in Palo Alto, CA.
Setyo is a Software Engineer at HP Workstation R&D lab in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is a certified project manager professional (PMP) with background in Engineering and in Business management. Setyo’s interests include entrepreneurship, poverty alleviation, project management, and technology management. Setyo is active at local chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI) and other non-profits organization in Colorado area.
Juan is the Business Development Manager at HP with strong expertise in new business development. Juan is based in San Diego, CA.
Juan Carlos Vives
Alina is a global citizen, with a 20+ years of diverse work history as a journalist, assistant manager, leader of the young social-democratic women and entrepreneur. In love with HP since 2006, working and growing in various positions. Alina is the manager in EMEA sales compensation team who is based in Romania.
Rashme is an experienced Financial Analyst and has been in HP for eight years. Prior to HP, Rashme worked in AMD and Intel. Currently Rashme is handling APJ Sales Finance. In her free time, Rashme loves to run, listen to music, coffee, and cheesecake. Rashme is based in Malaysia.
Kate has a background in research, leadership development and non-profit management. She has an MBA with a focus in Market Research and works for HP as a Search Analyst. Kate is based in the Portland, OR area.
Ishita works at the Autodesk Foundation, where she uses her design thinking and user-experience expertise to support entrepreneurs and innovators who are creating innovative design solutions for the world's most pressing social and environmental challenges. She has a Masters in Design for Social Innovation. Ishita is based in San Francisco, California.
Mikhail is the head of HP computing business in Africa. He has diverse experience in sales, operations, category and business management. Mikhail is fascinated by working across different cultures and countries. Currently located in Geneva, Switzerland.

Jennifer Morris is the Global Sustainability Counsel for HP and leads an international team of lawyers who focus on environmental law, human rights requirements and technology enabled compliance programs. She has spent most of her career at HP, with brief visits to IBM, Compaq, Bit Jugglers and Tandem Computers.

Having been with 3M (within a variety of divisions) for the past 27 years, Rich has built up an in-depth knowledge of sales, marketing, product development, marketing communications and management positions at a local, European and global level. A product designer by education, Rich has also worked as a high school teacher. Rich has a passion to use sustainability for business growth and as solutions for societal challenges.

BECHANGEMAKER PROGRAMME 2018
Debbie is the HP LIFE Partnership Manager for the HP Foundation, leading the HP LIFE programme that offers 28 free online courses in 7 languages to build key business competencies. With the great support from the HP Foundation, Debbie works closely with WorldSkills on the creation and implementation of BeChangeMaker.
Grace is the Senior Partnership and Projects Manager at WorldSkills, which is the global hub for skills excellence and development. She works closely with the HP Foundation on the creation and implementation of BeChangeMaker to offer opportunities to youth for career building and transforming the way we think about social change and the use of skills.
Michal is the CEO of Gamified Startup and the creator of the Gamified Startup Toolkit. He supports startups, social enterprises, and companies to innovate and optimize their businesses to create positive impact in the world. Michal is the coach for BeChangeMaker 2018.
